She was born Sept. 9, 1948, at Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to the late Lee Bass and Helen Ward.
Marilyn lived in Jonesboro most of her life and worked as a waitress most of her adult life. Marilyn loved to going to flea markets, decorating and especially her cat, Little Girl.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Larry and Farrell Bass; and sisters, Luetta Colburn and Sarah Noell.
Survivors include her loving husband of 15 years, Jackie Sharp of the home; sons, Christopher Sharp of Missouri, Nicholas Sharp of Oklahoma, Patrick Sharp of Turrell, Jackie Sharp Jr. of Paragould and Chad Arnold of Jonesboro; daughter, Chris Kibby and husband Gary of Jonesboro; brother, Wesley Bass of Jonesboro; sisters, Pat Bass and Linda Cook, both of Jonesboro, Joyce Arnold of Bono and Marsha Rigney of Delaware; and four grand-children.
Funeral services were in Emerson Memorial Chapel with burial in Unity Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
