Mrs. Rura A. Collins Is Called From Time

Mrs. Rura Adams Collins, age 41, wife of Monroe Collins of Marlowe, died Friday morning at the Hazard Hospital. While Mrs. Collins had only been confined to her bed but a short time she had been in failing health for the past three years. Mrs. Collins was well and favorably known having lived in the same neighborhood her entire life. She will be sadly missed by her host of friends as she was ever ready to aid those in need.

Mrs. Collins is survived by her husband, and mother Mrs. Sillar Adams; 4 daughters; Clarice, Dottie, Scottie, and Mollie; Four sons: Andrew, now serving his country and unable to be present for the funeral; Jack, Nick and Dick. Four Sisters: Mrs. Andrew Adams, Millstone, Ky.; Mrs. Benton Sergent, Whitesburg, Ky.; Mrs. Mattie Adams Montgomery, Whitesburg, Ky. Mrs. Chas. Gibson, Chattanooga, Tenn.; Two brothers: Bennie Adams, Baltimore, Md and J. Paul Adams, Isom, Ky.

Services were held at the home Friday and Saturday evenings by Revs. Basil Hall, Andy Bates, Jim Scott, Kernal Sexton and Kirby Ison.

Funeral services were held Sunday morning at the Sandlick Baptist Church by Revs Basil Hall and G. Bennett Adams. Burial in the family lot in the Thornton Cemetery, by Evans Funeral Home.
