He spent most of his life living in Maine for 40 years. Don proudly retired after 21 years from the U.S. Navy. He worked at True Value and then L.L. Bean for 24 years. He was a member of the VFW Post 10804, the American Legion, and Disabled American Veterans.
Don had a smile that could light up a room and his positive outlook was infectious.
Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Virginia (Frontz) Hazen; his daughter Deborah Marczewski and son-in-law, Bill; daughter Janet Rousseau and son-in-law, Mitchell; grandchildren Jessica, Megan and Ryan. His was most proud of his great grandson Jackson. His brothers Wendell Hazen, John Griffin. His sisters Barbara Pickner, Sandy Byers.
