Eleanor M. Dehrone, 84, of Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, formerly of East Allen Township passed away suddenly on Monday, August 31, 2015, at Palmerton Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Lester S. Dehrone with whom she shared 37 years of marriage prior to his death in 1990. Born in Wilson Borough on May 15, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Olive (Johnson) Hoff.
A member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers Union, Eleanor was employed as a presser at various blouse mills in the local area for more than 40 years before retiring. She enjoyed reading and quilting. Eleanor will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors: She is survived by her daughters, Freda Butz and her husband, Kenneth with whom she resided and Bernice Schwartz and her husband, Keith of Bowmanstown; four grandchildren, Ryan Dehrone, Joshua Schwartz and his companion, Cody Thomson, Kenneth Butz and his wife, Angelin and Brittney Hadden and her husband, Christopher; four brothers Russell Hoff, Harold Hoff, Bryon Hoff and Nelson Hoff; six sisters, Rhodell Sigley, Charlotte Grube, Eileen Amy, Shirley Transue, LaRue Gigliotti and LaNor Wilson; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Lester, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dale W. Hoff in 2014.
Services: will be held on Friday, September 04, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSNG FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Friday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery, Kreidersville.
