Funeral Services Held At Hinton For Henry Megli
Funeral services for Henry Megli, pioneer resident of the Cowden and Colony communities, were held last Thursday in the First Baptist church in Hinton, with rev. R.L. Glasgow officiating. Burial was in the Van Dyke cemetery near Cowden.
The pioneer resident died August 7 in the Hinton hospital.
Megli was born on may 12, 1891, at Plymouth, Nebr. He came to Oklahoma with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Megli, in 1903. He was married to Georgia Radford in 1917. He lived in the Cowden and Colony communities until 1935 when he moved to Hinton. Mrs. Megli and one son preceded him in death.
Survivors include four children: Rosie Fogle, Orangeburg, South Carolina; Ruby Megli and Ruth Buck, Oklahoma City; and Ralph Megli of Hinton.
Two sisters and three brothers also survive; Ed Megli of hydro, Noah Megli, Cloud Chief; Joe Megli and Lydia Norman, San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Lizzie Evans of Pasadena, Calif.
