Dora L. Beckett Fisher 85 of Barkers Fork, Chapmanville, WV was born May 1, 1930 at Chauncey, WV a daughter of the late Simon and Millie Blevins Hensley. She departed this life on Friday, August 28, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Beckett was a homemaker and member of the Garretts Chapel Community Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Wetzel Beckett, son, Jimmie Beckett, grandson, Jimmie Lee Beckett, Jr., son-in-law, Ray Turner, brother, Simon Hensley, Jr. and sister, Donna Jean Hensley Conley.
Survivors include, children, Kenneth (Shelbia) Beckett of Barkers Fork, Lewis Wetzel (Thelma) Beckett, Jr. of Hickory, NC, Judith Ann Turner of Barkers Fork, and Glen Edward (Geraldine) Beckett of Clarksburg, WV, siblings, Doris McKinney of Vinton, OH, Dottie Smith of Garretts Fork, Chapmanville, WV, Deloris Ann Weatherford of Flint, MI, Dolly Hamilton of Madison, WV, Dennie Hensley of Ashville, OH, Donald Hensley of Akron, OH, and Della Decker of Flint, MI, grandchildren, Brian Beckett, George Canterbury, Tonya Canterbury, April (Craig) Beckett Bowen, Shannon (Ronce) Hunter, Alisha Gail (Jarrod) Conley, Valerie Shawn Chapman, Lewis Burgess, and Nancy Earl, a host of great grandchildren, and a very special friend, Angela Gullett.
Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville with Rev. John Wiley officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV.
Grandsons and other family members will serve as pallbearers.
