Joseph Era Holt, Jr. of Cedar Hill, Tn. passed away at the Nashville campus of the VA hospital August 28, 2015 Mr. Holt was proud to be a Vietnam Veteran. He attended Mt. Juliet High School and retired from the State of Tennessee. He was a believer in all things American including freedom of religion, the right to bear arms, and freedom of speech.
Preceded in death by father, Joseph Era Holt, Sr.; daughter, Teresa; paternal grandparents James Era and Marie Holt; maternal grandparents, Clyde & Clara Holloway, 2 infant brothers, James Clyde & Edward Frank.
Survived by mother, Dovie Ann Holt Hall; sister, Ruth Ann Holt Harris; niece, Cassie Harris; children, Michael, Joey, Tommy, Robert, Heather; grandchildren, Matthew, Shawn, Samantha, Makayla, Nevaeh, Buckley, Cason & Emma (twins), Harper. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 2 pm until 8 pm Tuesday and 11:30 am until time of funeral service 2 pm Wednesday September 2, 2015 at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home with Bro. W.D. Thomason and Bro. David Royalty officiating. Interment Joelton Hills Memory Gardens
