He married Mrs. Madge (Roberson) Bisbee on December 5, 1897 in Houston, Harris County, Texas. They were the parents of Leo Meade West, Stonewall Jackson West and Thomas Benjamin. West, Jr.

Madge was previously married to Joseph R Bisbee. They were the parents of Alma Malona "Lona" Bisbee and Mayo Ernest Bisbee.
