" Roy E. Detwiler, 57, of Penn Run R.D. 1 died May 11, 1963, in the Indiana Hospital.
He was born in Strongstown on February 1, 1906, a son of Elmer and Elsie (Boring) Detwiler, and had spent his life time in Pine Township. He was a mechanic and auctioneer, and a member of the Miracle Mission.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Mary Detwiler, and these children: Roy Elmer, San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Donald (Elsie) Findley of Penn Run; Allen Eugene, Fort Carson, Colo.; James , Goldie, Blake, Frank, Geraldine, Frederick, Zelma, Jay, Iona, Mary,David, and Barbara, all of Penn Run. One daughter, Helen Miller, is deceased.There are five grandchildren.
These brothers and sisters survive; Jesse Detwiler of New Florence; Mrs Jesse (Goldie) Ober,and Mrs.Viola Hill, both of Penn Run; Mrs. Ruhl (Grace) Patterson, Wadsworth, Ohio; Clyde Detwiler, Penn Run; Earl Klingensmith of Heilwood. A brother Frank, is deceased.
Friends will be recieved at his home after 7 p.m. today. Services will be held at 2 p.m.Tuesday, May 14, in the Mount Union Church, Penn Run R.D. The Rev. Grant Hunter, pastor of the Miracle Mission will officiate and interment will follow in the Mt.Union Cemetery.
Arrangements are in charge of the Richard T. Bell Funeral Home."
