Funeral services for Mrs Kathryn Gregory Smith were conducted at the Memphis Funeral Home on Sat,Sept 5,with interment in Memorial Park Cem,Memphis,TN.
Mrs Smith,98,died Friday sept 4th at Methodist hospital Brownsville.She was formerly of Memphis and a resident of bells nursing home.
Mrs Smith was the widow of Ernest Smith Jr of Memphis and was retired from Smith Drug Store in Memphis in 1979.She was the oldest living member of Bellevue Baptist church in cordova and was a member for over 70yrs.She was a member of the daughters of the American revolution and numerous social and civil orgs in Memphis during her 40yrs residence there.
She leaves a brother,Charles S.Gregory of mobile ala.,two daughters Nancy Jane Gallagher Davis of Memphis and Kathryn Dixon of Brownsville,two grandchildren Charles B. and Gregory Gallagher of Memphis and one great grandchild.
*George Ernest Smith Jr. is buried beside her.They were married on June 4,1921 in Jackson,Tn and had 2 daughters.
*Mary Kathryn is a daughter of Charles Still Gregory Sr and Nancy Jane Thomas.Two known siblings are Charles Gregory Jr who married Dorothy Jones and Blanche Elizabeth Gregory Nunn and her husband Elliot Jelks Nunn.
