Gladys “Granny” Curtis, 99, passed from this life on Sunday, August 30, 2015. She was the youngest child of William M. and Della F. Ware, born on September 26, 1915.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 3 at Holt Memorial Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral service is Friday, September 4 at the Omaha United Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m. Bro. Mace Staubel and Bro. Mark Donald will officiate. Burial will be in the Methodist Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include the Staff at Highlands of Harrison at Tims, and Jill and Danny Dirks.

She was a lifelong resident of Omaha and member of the Omaha United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 40 years.

Her husband, Floyd Curtis; two granddaughters, Shauna and Rachel; her parents; five brothers, and two sisters preceded her in death.

She was “Granny” to ten grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, whom she dearly loved.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Alan and Jimmie Lou Curtis and Bill and Wileen Curtis; two daughters and their husbands, Charlotte and John Roberts and Sandra and Jake Arnold, all of Omaha; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one niece, Andereia Lewis, of Folsom, CA.
