Raymond E. Campbell, age 82, of San Pierre, IN, died Aug 27, 2015 after a long battle with COPD. On Aug 20, 1933, in Rensselaer, Raymond was born to Ernest and Dorothy (Timmons) Campbell. On Nov 27, 1944, in Rensselaer, Raymond married the love of his life, Maudlene Manns. Raymond served in the US Army in Germany. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #642. He worked at the Ford Motor Company in Chicago Heights, retiring after 40 years. He was a avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, horseshoes and ice-skating to name a few hobbies. Everyone will remember his sense of humor and jokes, and mowing his yard.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife: Maudlene, 3 daughters, Pam Strimbu, Debra DeVries, Sheri (Jim) Marks; four grandchildren: Stephanie (Jared) Arnett, Christopher Krulik, Asnley Strimbu and Alan Strimbu; siblings: Forrest Campbell, Don Campbell, and Gerald Campbell.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Dorothy Campbell, brother James Campbell and sister, Bethel Huff.
Per Raymond's wishes cremation will take place.
Arrangements are being handled by the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana.
