Jackson had lived his entire life in McCurtain County. He was a member of the Goodwater Church of Christ and had been self-employed as a farmer.
He and Cressie Tapley had been married for many years.
He was preceded in death by one son, Truel Dean Jackson in 1983.
Survivors include his wife, Cressie Jackson of Haworth; three sons, Denny Jackson of Haworth, Farrell Jackson of Idabel and George Jackson of Foreman, Ark.; two daughters, Melba Sorrells of Sweethome, Ore. and Shiela Ann Jackson of Camarillo, Calif.; one brother, Curtis Jackson of Goodwater; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Redland Church of Christ with Victor Balagbagan officiating.
Burial followed at Philadelphia Cemetery under the direction of Norwood, Coffey-Leonard Funeral Home of Idabel.
