Mrs. Miller is survived by two children, Elizabeth P. Miller, M.D., and her husband Richard J. Maniglia, M.D., of Paoli, PA, and David S. Miller, and his wife Mary of Clearwater, FL. She is survived by three grandchildren, Eric, Megan, and Rachel Miller. She is also survived by her brother, James E. Himes, and his wife Jane, and her sister, Sarah (Himes) Feltham, and her husband Dudley. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the Huntingdon Presbyterian Church, Huntingdon, PA. She was a past member of the Friends of Huntingdon County Library, Huntingdon Area Education Association/PSEA/NEA, and a charter member of the Muddy Run Watershed Advisory Committee, an ad hoc committee of Huntingdon Borough Council.
Mrs. Miller attended Huntingdon public schools and graduated from Huntingdon High School in 1955. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Juniata College, Huntingdon, PA, in 1959.
She taught elementary school in State College, PA and Pittsburgh, PA schools. After returning to Huntingdon in 1974, she taught at the William Smith Elementary School in Huntingdon until her retirement in 1996.
Her hobbies included sewing, playing piano, reading, and gardening.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family with interment in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon, PA.
