Lucian Wilson Johns, 89, widower of Edith Bea Johns, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 29, 2015. Born in Jessamine County, KY, he was the son of the late R.L. and Inice Brumfield Johns.

A lifetime farmer, he was a retired P.O.L. Technician with the Commonwealth of Kentucky. A Navy veteran, he was a deacon and member of the choir at Great Crossing Baptist Church, American Legion and was a Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his daughter, Georgia Taulbee; siblings, Esther Wells, Creed Johns and Tom Johns; grandchildren, Matthew Becker, Holly Becker, Kellie Ritchey, Angel Schumacher, Forrest E. Ritchey, Jr, Wheeler B. Pettit III and James D. Pettit; great grandchildren, Braddock and Claire Becker, Sunshine Williams, Misty McCubbins, Brittany Tipton, Shandi Patterson, Jason Ritchey, Timothy Clifton and Breann Eastwood; special friend, Mary Cecil; as well as six great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Virginia Doyle, son, Wheeler B. Pettit II and brothers, Robert Johns and Elbert Johns, sisters, Cornelia Clarke and Mary Agnes Corman.

Burial will be in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens, Jessamine County, Kentucky.
