Lena B. Collins, age 77, passed away, Tuesday, July 28, 2015. She was born January 27, 1938 in Kerrville, Texas to Alma Edwards and Monroe Robinson. She married Willie James Snowden and later married Thomas Collins.

Lena B, as she was affectionally known, attended Doyle High Shcool graduating in 1956. She later attended LVN School in Kerrville becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse and choose to practice her skill at nursing homes because of her love for geriatric patients. Lena B was a member of Barnett Chapel United Methodist Church, joining under the leadership of Rev. Troy McKee where she attended until her health began to fail. She also had a love for playing Bingo.

Lena B is survived by her daughters; Constance and Annette Snowden; her mother, Alma R. Edwards; two brothers, Aubrey Edwards and Arthur R. Edwards(Barbara); sister, Theresa Compton; grandchildren, LaJosha Snowden Smith (Hayes) and Chaka Pettigrew; great grandchildren, Tyvon, Kenya and Ella and a host of relatives and friends. Her brother, Charles Daniels proceeded her in death.
