According to various records, Olive was often called "Ollie".
Olive Evelyn Falconer was first married to Joe H Bates, in some records referred to as "Jack". After they divorced she married George Dawson, so during her life she was Olive Evelyn Falconer Bates Dawson. One record shows that George Dawson was born in Pennsylvania but several others show that he was born in Maryland. A search for George Dawson in Maryland results in two records -- one for a George Dawson who received a divorce in 1928 but died in 1929, and another for a George Dawson who was marked white then somehow it was revised to "mulatto". The correct George Dawson cannot be found.
Olive's daughter, Evelyn Bates Easley, wrote a letter to the Texas State Registrar asking to correct her own birth certificate as well as the marriage license of her mother. It appears that after Olive's mother, Susanna, died, Olive was sent to live with an aunt and uncle with the last name of Bair, and the 1910 Census shows that "Ollie" was living with Leonidas and Annie Bair in Brownwood, Texas. Evelyn states that Olive was not formally adopted by The Bairs but Olive used the last name of Bair for a while.
According to the death certificate, Olive was interred at Roselawn Memorial Park in San Antonio, Texas on 10 Apr 1981.
