United States Army Officer. Served as a 1st Lieutenant in Company C, 86th Mountain Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division.

He was killed in action at the Riva Pioge, Italy.

He is interred in Plot E, Row 8, Grave 20 of the Florence American Cemetery and Memorial, Florence, Italy.

His family erected a cenotaph in their plot in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.
