Mickey Gene Campbell, 68, died Aug. 24, 2015, in Houston, Texas. He was born July 4, 1947, to the late Claude and A.V. Campbell, was resident of Southport, Fla., most of his life. He was a Vietnam Vet and a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Somalay; four children: Gene Wade Campbell, Kathryn Taylor, Christy Freeman, and Joey Campbell; seven grandchildren: Britney, Brent, Hannah, David, Italee, C.J. and Laine; two sisters: Teresa Peace and Claudine Hansen; two brothers: Ronnie Campbell and Johnny Campbell; three stepchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; he was preceded in death by his parents and sister Susan Tate.
Military funeral services and burial will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, at Veterans Memorial in Houston, Texas.
