Funeral services for Harold Jacob Brautigam, who died on Tuesday in a San Antonio hospital,were held today, July 23 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Seguin. The Rev. George Schultz officiated, with interment in the Masonic cemetery in Gonzales under the direction of Goetz Funeral Home.
Mr. Brautigam was born on July 18, 1915 in Fredericksburg, to Henry Wolfgang and Clara Gold Brautigam. He graduated from Draughons Business College, and was associated with Nabisco Brands as a sales representative for 46 years.
He was a veteran of World War II, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Seguin for many years, serving as deacon, Sunday School director and choir mem. He was also a member of the Victory Masonic Lodge.
