Mary Louise (Waldorf) Osborne, 89, of Borodino, passed away August 27, 2015. She was born June 8, 1926 in Hinsdale, Illinois to Lynn (Pappy) and Louise Waldorf. She lived in many college towns with her family during her father's college football coaching career. Mary Lou attended Duke University and Syracuse University where she met and married her husband, Orville (Bunt) Osborne. They settled in Borodino where they farmed and were active in the community. Mary Lou taught piano in her home for many years, was a member of the Borodino Grange, the Spafford Area Historical Society, Delta Delta Delta sorority, and First Presbyterian Church of Skaneateles. She is survived by her children: Becky (Nathan) Culbertson of Skaneateles, Steve (Wendy) Osborne of Fulton, Bruce (Meg) Osborne of Skaneateles; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn (Jerry) Pickering; sister-in-law, Carol (Ron) Ackles; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and parents. There will be a memorial service at the Skaneateles First Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 5, at 1 p.m. followed by a reception in the church hall. Burial will be in Borodino Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Spafford Area Historical Society (Borodino Hall Restoration), PO Box 250, Marietta, NY 13110, or the Borodino Fire Department, 2500 Nunnery Road, Skaneateles, NY 13152.
