Alcide “Buttsie” C. Barrilleaux III passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the age of 63. He was cherished husband of Karen Holley Barrilleaux for 45 years. Loving father of Alcide Barrilleaux IV (Christy), Scott Barrilleaux, Jamie Barrilleaux (Johnny). Son of Annie Genevese Barrilleaux and the late Alcide Barrilleaux Jr. Son-in-Law of the late Betty and Alvin Holley. Brother of Gary Barrilleaux (the late Laurie), Glen Barrilleaux (the late Theresa), and Alvin Barrilleaux (Lee). Proud grandfather of Brett Barrilleaux, Bryce Barrilleaux, Scott Barrilleaux Jr., Chance Barrilleaux, Logan Barrilleaux and Maddox Barrilleaux. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousin Darlene and his beloved furever friend Cheyene.
Alcide was born in New Orleans, LA and was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. He proudly served 6 years in the US Army National Guard. Alcide enjoyed fishing and shrimping. He was strong in his faith and was a devoted bible reader. Alcide will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
