Paul V. Sims 91 of Trenton died at his residence on his 68th wedding anniversary Thursday August 27, 2015. He married Shirley Poston August 27, 1947 in Centerville.
Paul was born November 1, 1923 in E. St. Louis to Frank and Louise (Christman) Sims: they preceded him in death. Also proceeded in death by 4 brothers.
Paul was a retired lineman with Illinois Power, An Army Veteran of WWII, enjoyed fly fishing and he started the Cub Scout's Pack 39 in Trenton.
Member of New Life Christian Center in Trenton, life member and past commander of the Trenton VFW Post 7983
67 years with IBEW Local 309 in Collinsville.

Shirley R. Sims 85 of Trenton died Sunday August 30, 2015 at her residence.
She was born April 3, 1930 in Centerville to Virgil and Adele (Schaub) Poston they preceded her in death.
She married Paul Sims August 27, 1947 in Centerville and he preceded her in death August 27, 2015.
Shirley was a homemaker and member of New Life Christian Center in Trenton, and past member of VFW Auxiliary in Trenton. She enjoyed antiquing and made and sold antique jewelry.
Surviving are their sons David (Michelle) Sims of Trenton, Thomas Sims of Trenton, Michael (Angel) Sims of Bondville, Daniel (Cindy) Sims of Trenton
Grandchildren Rebecca (Todd) Bugger, Andrew (Sarah) Sims, Abigail (Brandon) Hull, Katie Sims, Kole Sims, Candis (Kevin) Doty, Bryan (Jenna) Sims & 9 great grandchildren
Shirley's brothers and sisters, George "Sonny" Poston, Elva McCoy, William Poston, Jim Poston, Bonnie Walker, Virgil "Ken" Poston.
Funeral Service Tuesday September 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Christian Center in Trenton, Rev. Robert Wutzler officiating. Interment in Trenton Cemetery with full military honors accorded for Mr. Sims.
Visitation will be Monday August 31 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton and Tuesday September 1, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at New Life Christian Center in Trenton.
Trenton VFW members will hold services at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home.
