Mary Vinson Gregory, 89, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015.

Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late John B. Vinson and Mae Conley Vinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James “Bill” Gregory and two sisters, Emma Erwin and Katherine Hamrick and a brother, Robert. Mary was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She worked as a bookkeeper for Macon County Supply for over 29 years.

She is survived by her son, Richard “Dick” Otto and wife Gail of Franklin; two brothers, Charles Vinson and John Vinson both of Franklin; sister, Elizabeth Cearley of Franklin; two granddaughters, Christina Tallent and Crystal Otto; two great granddaughters, Abigail and Madison and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 2 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Tom Fisher will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
