Wiley J. Weddington Jr., age 79 of Estill Springs, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville following a short illness. A native of Franklin County, he was retired from TVA after 34 years of service and returned to Franklin County to live in retirement in 1990. He was the son of late Willey Weddington Sr. and Alla Jackson Weddington of Winchester. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Patricia "Pat" Puckett. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Ann Wiseman Weddington; daughters, Angela Mac Hardy of Houston, TX and Janice LeBlanc of Boston, MA; grandchildren, Robert Padgett of Stevenson, AL, Amy Padgett of Houston, TX and Bonnie Padgett of Boulder, CO; sister; Ludy Jean Bucker of Chattanooga, TN and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Weddington will be announced at a later time. Arrangements by Watson-North Funeral Home.
