Mrs. Elizabeth Craig, 38, a native of Wayne County, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. E.L. Dodson on Monticello road, following an illness of several years. She came to Somerset two weeks ago from New Castle, Ind., to make her home here.
She was a daughter of the late William Alexander of Wayne County, and Mrs. Nancy Jane Withers Alexander of Grandview, Ind. She moved to Indiana several years ago and since the death of her husband six months ago.
She was a kind and gentle person, one who won the love and respect of all who knew her and her passing brought a pall of gloom to a wide circle of friends and relatives.
Besides her mother and sister, Mrs. Craig is survived by five brothers, Mose Alexander of Grandview, Ind., Walter Alexander, -- Alexander of New London, Texas, Frank Alexander of new Castle, Ind., and Emery Alexander who is in the Army.
The body was returned to New Castle, Ind., Tuesday morning for funeral services and burial which were to be held there this afternoon.
