George was the seventh child (4th son) born into the large family of William and Antonie Beyersdorf. He grew up in Menominee MI but moved to the Milwaukee WI area where he lived until his death. He was a fun-loving man who loved his cigars and playing cards. He raised beautiful roses at his home in West Allis.

He married Anna Seidl and had two children and two grandchildren.
