BLYTHEWOOD SC - Opal Whittle Wright, 86, of Blythewood, died August 23, 2015. Born July 24, 1929 in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Leo Otis and Beatrice Penley Whittle. She retired from Allied Signal. Survivors include her children, Maxine Cooper, Proctor Wright, Jr., Brenda Timme (Clarence), Teresa Lancaster (Russell) and Calvin Wright, all of Blythewood. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert P. Wright and brother, Melton Leroy Whittle. Interment in Memorial Gardens of Columbia. Shives Funeral Home. The State,Aug. 26, 2015.
