Mary Houpt
Mary Houpt, 89, Carlisle, died at 6:40 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 1987, at Miller's Merry Manor.
She was born Aug. 5, 1897, in Martin County to Frank and Mettie Groves Queen. She was a housewife and a member of the United Methodist Church, Carlisle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, who died in 1969, one son, one daughter, one sister and three brothers.
Survivors include one daughter, Patsy McCammon, R5 Sullivan; one son, Vane Houpt, Bargersville; one sister, Hazel Corrie, Cannon City, Colo.; one brother, Paul Queen, Cannon City, Colo.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Gordon E. Utt Carlisle Chapel with the Rev. Dick Davis officiating. Burial is in the Oddfellows Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
