Charles F. Miller, 81, died Saturday morning at 414 First Street South. He had made his home in Bemidji for six years.

He was born in Wales, April 3, 1875 and came to the United States with his parents at the ae of six. They settled in Michigan, later going to Canada and lived in Barnesville for 18 years before going to Blackduck in 1940 where he farmed until 1950 when he moved to Bemidji. He was a retired plumber.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. E. Oppegaard (Agnes) of Little Falls, Mrs. Vern Krueger (Gladys) and Mrs. William Hyack (Joan) of St. Paul, Mrs. Floyd Earle (Beverly of Alampson, Wis., Mrs. George Urmivich (Margaret) of Keewatin and Mrs. Lowell Anderson (Donna) of Bemidji; one son, Charles Miller, Jr. of White Bear; one brother, Thomas Supple of Ontonogan, Mich., and one sister, Mrs. Lillian Joslin of Mapleton, Iowa. His wife preceded him in death about 17 years ago.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the McKee Chapel and burial will be made in Blackduck. (Bemidji Daily Pioneer, April 7, 1956)

1920 Census: Charles V Miller (45) born about 1875 in Michigan, was married and living on third street in Barnesville, Clay, Minnesota whre he was a stationary engineer on the railroad. His wife was Olga Miller (28) born about 1892 in Minnesota. Childre: Agnes (3) and Gladys (1).

1930 Census: Charley V Miller (55) born about 1875 in Michigan, was living in Tansem, Clay, Minnesota. He was married to Olga S Miller. Children: Agnes I (13), Gladys L (12), Margaret L (10) Charles A (8), and Beverly J (1).
