Mary Margaret Hastings, 93, of Rising Sun died Friday, July 28, 2006, at The Waters of Rising Sun.

She was born April 22, 1913, in Aurora, the daughter of James and Minnie Schinkle White. She had worked at Seagrams Distillery in Lawrenceburg and was a member of Upton Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, John Richard Broadus of Madison and David Michael Broadus of Upton, Ky.; three daughters, Helen Marie Smith of Harrison, Ohio, Jayne Elizabeth Allen of Oklahoma and Susan Hope Hichew of Fairfield, Ohio; one brother, Elvin White of Milan; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Humphrey-Taylor-Detmer Funeral Home in Rising Sun. Burial will be in Rising Sun Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to The Waters of Rising Sun Activity Fund.
