Bruce R. Campbell, age 88, of Springfield Place in Newberry, and formerly of Whitmire, died Friday, April 25, 2003, at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home in Newberry.

He was born in Whitmire and was a son of the late James Allen and Nancy Jeanette Wilson Campbell.

He was retired from J.P. Stevens, was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, the Roseboro Masonic Lodge #195, and the American Legion and was a World War II Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Rosa Lee White Campbell, of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda C. and Charles Osborne, of Orange Park, Fla.; one brother, Keith Campbell, of Ashboro, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Daniel Osborne and Thomas Osborne, both of Orange Park, Fla.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, with burial at Whitmire Cemetery.
