Michael Scott Cheek, age 47, of Spartanburg, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. He was born on January 7, 1968 to the late Jack Alfred Cheek, Sr. and the late Sarah Frances Edwards Cheek.

Mr. Cheek was had been a manager for a retail grocery store and was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. He was a loving father to his precious children. He was a loyal member of the choir and he loved his church family. He was a huge Clemson fan and will be truly missed by all those who loved and knew him.

He is survived by one son, Andrew M. Cheek of Inman; one daughter, Katie M. Cheek of Inman; two brothers, Jack A. Cheek, Jr. and Terry J. Cheek both of Inman; and one sister, Sharon K. Cheek of Duncan.

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Scott Cheek will be conducted on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church of Spartanburg with Rev. Steve Skinner and Rev. Ralph Brown to officiate. Graveside services and interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Inman following the funeral service.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.
