Marilyn J. Norris, age 81 of Xenia, passed away Thursday evening, August 27, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 17, 1933 in Kenton, Ohio, the daughter of John and Luella (White) Grode.
Marilyn retired from J.C. Penney's where she had formerly worked at the Xenia store and then at the Fairfield Mall location.
She is survived by her two daughters, Beth Begley and Kathy Bennett both of Xenia, son-in-law, Jerry Pierce of SC, 8 grandchildren: Scott Bennett, Amanda Climie, John Pierce, Jake Begley, Nick Pierce, Sara Begley and Stephanie Pierce, several great grandchildren; as well as other family members and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Phillip Norris on July 15, 2011; a daughter Robyn Pierce; and a grandson: Zachary Begley.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Friday, September 4, 2015 at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia with Pastor Mark Brooks officiating.
