James Clark Marlow, age 90 of Windham, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at home with his family.

Jim was born on Feb. 5, 1924 in Gassaway, WV the son of the late Samuel Marlow and Mamie May (Wilson) Marlow. Jim was a US Navy veteran serving during World War II.

He worked at the Ravenna Arsenal then Copperweld Steel Co. where he retired after 35 years.

Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, and later camping across the United States with his wife.

He is survived by his wife: Dora (Johnson) Marlow whom he married on June 11, 1955, a daughter Sylvia Jean (Marlow) Purdy, granddaughter: Marlo, great grandchildren: Jared Purdy and Jocelyn Jenkins, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends Sherry & Lee Love, Mark Purdy, and his cat Xander.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, 1 brother: Jack, and 4 sisters: Sue, Zma, Ruby, and Dell.

At his request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date and time.

The family would like to thank Dr. Timothy Neely and the Robinson Visiting Nurses & Hospice for their deep caring and help of James during our difficult time.
