Kelly Dawn Cook, 52, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015.
Memorial Service: 10:30 am Friday, September 4, 2015, Walter Reid Activity Center (El Buen Pastor Church), 4800 Merida Ave, Ft. Worth, 76115, Dr. Jeff Reid, officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30.
Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials may be given to the Humane Society of North Texas, hsnt.org.
Kelly was born on June 9, 1963 in Houston to Wayne and Beverly Cook. She was a 1981 graduate of Southwest High School where she was on the swim team. Kelly received her Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Baylor University in 1985 and a Master of Arts in Constitutional Law and American History in 1992 also from Baylor. From 1990-1992 Kelly was a Graduate Assistant assisting the Director of the Church-State Studies Department. Kelly worked for 18 years at the Waco Tribune Herald. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, organic gardening and all animals especially her dogs, Penny, Sam, and Jessie.
"Kelly was preceded in death by her beloved father, Wayne Cook, in 1992."
Survivors: Mother, Beverly Cook-Glass and husband Jack Glass; sister, Deborah Glass; brother, Donald Glass; and cousin, Regina Runge.
