Jeff Dixon was born to Davis and Lilla Dixon of Goshen, Alabama. He was married to Millie Williams and to this union seven children were born. Two children preceded him in death. This marriage was dissolved and he later met Lillian Peterson and they had two children.
Jeff joined Shiloh Baptist Church where he remained a member until his death.
His survivors are: Annie R. Alexander of Miami, Florida; Frances Dingle of Chicago, Illnois; Mary Cullins of Miami, Florida; Verleta Dixon and Brenda Dixon of Troy, Alabama; two sons, Alex Dixon of Miami, Florida and Jeffery Dixon of Troy, Alabama; one sister, Roberta Thomas of Troy, Alabama; three brothers, Free Dixon, Kay Dixon and Homer Dixon of Troy, Alabama. He also leave behind 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
