Glenda Marie Williamson, age 72, of Newport, passed away Friday, August 28, 2015 at Morristown Hamblen Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her father, James (Peanut) Carrell; mother, Agnes Aileen Ailey; and brother, James Robert Carrell.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Williamson of Newport; sons, John Tracy Williamson of Newport, James Clyde (Cindy) Williamson of Knoxville, Curtis (Tina) Williamson of Cosby, and Charlie (Mary) Williamson of Knoxville; brothers, Eddie (Tammy) Carrell of Newport and Clifford Lee Bryant, Jr. of North Carolina; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynda Smith officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday prior to funeral services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Newport Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 42, Newport, Tennessee 37822.
