Donald "Buddy", 90, of Preston, Idaho, passed away on Monday, Oct. 2, 2006. He and his wife of 65 Years, Norma, were preparing lunch together when he died.
He was born July 21, 1916, in St. John, Idaho, son of Margaret and Don Noble. Don had three sisters, Margaret, Isabelle and Kathryn, and three brothers, Henry, Neal and Calvin. Don married Norma Lou Jones of McCammon, Idaho, and they had three children, Donna, Tony and Melody. Early in their marriage he served overseas in World War 11 as a staff sergeant in the U. S. Army.
Don and Norma moved their family to Delano, Calif., where he worked as a lineman for the Southern California Edison Co., for 16 years. Don and Norma returned to their beloved Idaho after their children were grown, where they lived on the Jones family farm outside of Inkom. The last 14 years have been spent in Preston.
