Arthur Bernard Crooms Sr., 70, of 175 Pecan Drive died Monday, May 21, 2001, in a local hospital.

Mr. Crooms was born in Baldwin County. He was the son of the late Thomas H. and Annie Louise McDaniel Crooms. He lived in Macon since 1955. He attended Midway High School in Baldwin County. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Crooms was of the Baptist faith. He was a glass installer, retired from Pittsburg Plate Glass, Bud's Glass Service and Riverside Glass. He was the father of the late Mary Anne Crooms, who died in 1982.

Survuvors include his wife, Anne Griffin Crooms of Macon; a son and daughter-in-law, Arthur Crooms Jr. and Donna Crooms of Macon, two grandchildren, Jessica Crooms and Haleigh Crooms; three brothers, James Crooms, Ronald Crooms and Myron Crooms, all of Milledgeville; two sisters, Tookie Rogers of Milledgeville and Lynn Martin of Cairo, and several neices, nephews and cousins.
