Brother of John Fleming (1819-1970), husband of Sarah Ann Huddleston. John and Cochran Fleming were partners in the Fleming Brothers company, manufacturer of popular patent medicines. Cochran Fleming is known for planting trees everywhere in the area. He purchased the 1840 Presbyterian Church when it was decided a new one needed to be built, and he moved all of the interments from that graveyard, at his expense, to Sewickley Cemetery.
