the son of Former Bluffton residents, Douglas "Kip" Neil Beaty III, age 35, of Makleville, died Monday, Sept. 6 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis as the results of injuries sustained in an auto accident on Tuesday, Aug. 31, in Madison County.
Born Oct. 15, 1968 in Marion to Douglas Neil and Janice Uptgraft Beaty Jr, he had lived in the Anderson area all of his life and worked for Guid Corporation as a journeyman pipefitter.
A 1987 graduare of Highland High School, he had completed a 5-year apprentice Program through Local 661 in Muncie. He attended Parview Wesleyan Church and was a member of the UAW Local 663 and the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 661.
In addition to the parents, who reside in Anderson, other survivors are his wife of 12 years, the former Tammy Gillespie, a daughter, Brittany, a sister, Mrs. Mark (Dawn) Russell of Carmel and his grandmother, Mary Uptgraft of Bluffton.
Other survivors include uncles and aunts Kevin ans Sara Beaty, Rex and Billy May Kreigh, Jim and Denise Uptgraft, and Laura Chaney, all of Wells County, and Mike and Sheila Zimmerman of Brazil.
He was preceded in deathe by grandparents, Douglas Neil Sr. and Toddie Beaty and Weisell Uptgraft.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson. Rev. Paul N. Trent will officaite and burial will be in Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Preferred memorials are to the Trust Fund for Brittany Beaty.
