Lawman.
Joined the Texas Rangers in 1878; First sheriff of Mitchell County, 1881-92; U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Texas, 1893-97.

During a bank robbery by Sam_Bass at Round Rock, Ware shot and killed Seaborn_Barnes. Though history records George Harrell as the man who killed Sam Bass, several witnesses, including fellow Texas Ranger Chris Conner, claimed it was a bullet from Ware's gun that killed the notorious outlaw.
