NORMA GRAY OBITUARY

Norma Lee Gray passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at the age of 102.

Norma was born on July 7, 1920, in Wolfe City to Robert Lee Bishop and Ruby Stinebaugh Bishop. She was a lifelong resident of the Greenville area. Until her retirement, she worked as a beautician, including owning and operating Norma s Beauty Shop in downtown Greenville for many years. She was a member of the Old Concord Baptist Church.

Norma is survived by children: Sandra Wood; Sharon Hale and husband, Sonny; Ronald Gray and wife, Sherry; Dr. Barbara McDaniel; and Sandra Phillips; grandchildren: Doug Phillips, Billy Wood, Keith Wood, Norm Ulmer, Vince Ulmer, Kevin Bynum, Brandon Gray, Jennifer Gray, and Stephen Phillips; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, A.V. Gray and Norman Spencer Ulmer; one son, Norman Spencer Ulmer, Jr.; one grandson, Kenneth Bynum; and her sister, Mary Frances Bishop.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 2, at Forest Park Cemetery in Greenville.
