Carmen Motley King, 91, of Amarillo died Thursday, June 29, 2006.
Graveside services were Sunday in Elk Creek Cemetery in West Plains, Mo. Arrangements were by Smith & Kernke Funeral Directors of Oklahoma City.

Mrs. King was born Nov. 28, 1914, in Peel, Ark., to E. Motley and Eula Mae Roberts Motley. She married Alfred L. "Happy" King on Sept. 4, 1938, in White Deer.

She and "Happy" were owners of Schwegmans Office Supply in West Plains for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years in 1994; her parents; two brothers; and seven sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Rex (Sheron) Radcliff of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sons, Tom L. King of Oklahoma City and Terry G. King of Batesville, Ark.; a sister, Jean Stewart of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Meals on Wheels, Missouri State University, West Plains Campus or a favorite charity.
