Hazel Aline Owen, 68, of Peru, was taken home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015.
She was born in Kentucky on Aug. 18,1947 to the late Damon R. Rogers and Pauline (Smith) Rogers. She married David L. Owen on Aug. 10, 1987. She loved to spending time with family and friends. She would always have big cookouts with horseshoe games and good company. Her favorite thing to do was to play a good game of dice.
Hazel came from a big family. She is survived by her siblings William and Charlotte, Claude and Lois Rogers, Harold and Joan Rogers, Ruby and Randy Brown, Patricia and John Mersch, Linda and Jeff Tinney, Robin and Robert Balser and Melissa and Steven Clark, Siblings Janet Davis, Emma Bowman, Donna Spencer, David Rogers and Delbert Rogers are all deceased. She had six children, Pauline and Craig McDougle, Marti and Ed Shrock and Samuel ( Dickie) Davis, and Janet, Janet' and Dougie Davis all three deceased and also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. till time of service at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, with Pastor: Jeff Tinney officiating Burial will follow at the Reyburn Cemetery.
