Bonnie Delaine White Coberly Abbott, age 88 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life early Sunday morning, May 20, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Mountain Hospice.

She had been in declining health.

She was born Tuesday, April 1, 1930 at Bemis, WV, a daughter of the late Galford and Evalina White.

She was twice married.

First on January 11, 1946 at Elkins, WV, she was married to Frank Coberly, who preceded her in death on May 11, 1961.

Second on December 11, 1965 at Elkins, WV, she was married to Frank Maynard “Red” Abbott, Sr., who preceded her in death April 8, 1991. Surviving are her children, Frank Abbott, Jr., and companion Tonya White, Elkins; Betty Sue Moats and husband Gary, Elkins; Mary B. Hamrick and husband Bobby, Elkins; Nancy Hodges, Elkins; one brother, Boyd White, NY; one sister, Mary Jane Henthorne, Elkins; one daughter in law, Ruby Coberly of Beverly; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are two sons, Joe Abbott and Charles Ray Coberly; four step-sons, the Rev. Burl; the Rev. Haney; Ray and Charles Coberly; three step-daughters, Helen Abbott, Edith Sponaugle, and Mae Vance; seven brothers, Roy, Otto, Cleveland, Harrison, Coslo, and Gilbert and Galford, Jr. White; and three sisters, Oma Forinash, Arlene Coberly, and Carrie Owens.

Bonnie attended the schools of Randolph County, was a homemaker and a member of the Elkins Church of God and Family Worship Center. Bonnie enjoyed working in her flower gardens.

She was a faithful servant and a child of God.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Wednesday.

Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, Thursday, May 24, 2018, at 1 PM.

The Rev. Eli Hostetler will officiate and interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, WV.
