Shirley Ann Holden, 62, of Eden, Texas passed away peacefully on August 24, 2015. She was born on December 8, 1952 to R.J. and Mable Ake in Brady, Texas. Funeral service will be on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Eden, under the direction of Eden Funeral Home, with Pastor Chris Curtis officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Lohn Cemetery.

Aside from being a wife and homemaker, Shirley worked as a cook in several restaurants in Brady though out her life. She owned and operated the Bus Station in Brady from 1988 to 1996, during which time she also owned and operated Pastries Plus, right across the street, where she sold homemade cakes and pastries of all kinds. She later moved the bakery to the old Mr. Burgers location, and started a little burger joint in conjunction with the bakery, which she named Mr. B's Pastries Plus. After moving to Eden, she did volunteer work in Eden Schools, and she was often seen giving of her time in the concession stands for the Eden Recreation Association.

She is preceded in death by both her parents.

She is survived by her husband Louis Holden of Eden; two sons, Ronald Joe Holden and wife Amanda, and Eric Holden, all of Eden; one sister, Barbara Steele of Rochelle; four grandchildren, Ashley Crittendon and husband Dustin, Ryan Holden, Brandon Holden, and Deborah Holden; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
