THE PARIS NEWS, Mon., Oct. 9, 1995, p. 5A: 'Gladys F. Wheeler, 86, of Paris died Saturday, Oct. 7, 1995, at R.H.D. Hospital in Dallas. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with the Rev. Lane Park officiating. Burial will be in Little Vine Cemetery. Mrs. Wheeler was born Oct. 28, 1908, in Munday, a daughter of Jessie T. and Lula Morgan Shaw. She married Doyle Wheeler Jan. 9, 1926, in Ralls. He died May 24, 1984. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and worked for many years at S.H. Kress store. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Joydene Wheeler of Dallas; two grandchildren, Rick Wheeler and wife Teresa of Dallas and Roger Wheeler of Dallas. two great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Melissa Wheeler; and one sister, Dorothy Helen Edgerly of Myrtle Creek, OR. She was preceded in death by a son, Doyle T. Wheeler Dec. 10, 1987. Pallbearers were Jimmy Gullion, Pat Neeley, Don Flowers, Buddy Carter, Corky Basinger and Alfred Fangio.
