Kenneth R. Messer of Granbury returned to his Savior Jesus’ home on Aug. 20. 2015, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Memorial service: Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at Neptune Society in Fort Worth with Chaplain Jerry Bowers officiating.
Ken was born on Jan. 8, 1942, to Virgil and Rose Messer.
He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War as a helicopter pilot. He spent 32 years as an over the road truck driver, where he met the love of his life, Patti.
Ken and Patti were united in marriage on Nov. 12, 1988, in California. He enjoyed reading and football, especially the Raiders.
He is survived by his wife Patti, son Monty (Leanne) (California), daughter DeeDee (Lee) Hubbs (Texas), Michael Lemke (Virginia), Randy Lemke (Florida), Debbie (Larry) Sabrowsky (Minnesota), Roxane Pringle (Ron Parks) (Virginia), 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Dee (Bob) Myers (California), Jan (Tom) Steppick (Texas), and brother Don (Denine) Messer (California).
Ken was preceded in death by his parents.
